FACIAL TREATMENT+ DIAMOND MICRODERMABRASION

Diamond microdermabrasion is a non-surgical procedure that forces the regeneration of new skin while simultaneously stimulating production of healthy cells, collagen and elastin; which leads to the skin tightening and becoming thicker and firmer. A diamond tip is used to exfoliate the skin’s surface by creating a gentle vacuum that removes dead surface cells. By starting at the surface, the pores of debris are cleaned, leaving the skin soft and supple allowing the regeneration of new skin cells. Over time and treatments (depending on severity of skin concerns), pigment fades away, and surface irregularities such as fine wrinkles and acne scars begin to diminish. Results are instant, but for optimal results it is required to do at least 6-8 treatment series. Suitable for all skin types.

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling therapy, also called collagen induction therapy (CIT), is a minimally invasive skin-rejuvenation procedure that involves the use of a device that contains fine needles. The needles are used to puncture the skin to create a controlled injury underneath the skin’s surface.  This induces the body to respond through the formation of new tissue layers, elastin and collagen fibres, as well as new capillaries for an improved blood supply in the treated area. The skin plumps and thickens in response to this stimulus, ultimately reducing the appearance of scars, and fine lines and other skin texture changes. In addition to collagen induction therapy, the channels made from the micro-needles allow topical gels and creams to be absorbed more effectively through the top layer of the skin.

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR PRO POWER PEEL AND MICRONEEDLING

Please note that the Dermalogica Pro Power Peel and Microneedling must not be performed if any of the following apply to you:

  • If you have received a resurfacing skin procedure such as laser, light therapy, microdermabrasion or a chemical peel within the past two weeks.
  • If you have received injectable treatments such as neuromodulators or dermal fillers within the past 2 weeks.
  • If you have used any topical prescriptions or any products containing Retinol or Vitamin A for a full week.
  • If you have used alpha hydroxy Acid (AHA), beta hydroxy acid (BHA) and benzoyl peroxide for 24 hours.
  • If you have used exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating for 24 hours.
  • If you have used Isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past six months.
  • If you have got waxing, electrolysis or laser hair removal in the treatment area within the past 72 hours. 
  • If you have a contagious skin disease or infection such as an active cold sore. 
  • If you are pregnant or lactating.
  • If you have had recent sun exposure and/or sunburned skin.
POST TREATMENT PLEASE AVOID
  • picking, rubbing or scratching your skin;
  • extensive exercise, swimming pools, hot water including saunas, Jacuzzis, hot tubs for 1 week;
  • waxing or other hair removal in the treated area;
  • make up for 48 hours;
  • any sun exposure and sunscreen for the first 48 hours;
  • any type of exfoliation for 1 week;
  • using any medications or glycolic acid products for 1 week.
CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR MICRONEEDLING
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • History of Keloids or Hypertrophic scarring
  • Diabetic (require doctor’s clearance)
  • Chemotherapy (consult your doctor)
  • Viral infections and/or diseases
  • Epilepsy
  • Psoriasis or eczema in the treatment area
  • Taking blood thinners
  • Tinea versicolor
  • Bleeding disorders
  • Recent chemical peels
  • Sever Telangiectasia or erythema
  • Skin cancer
  • Tattoo in the treatment area
  • Inflamed acne lesions
  • Open cuts or scratches in the treatment area
  • Active cold sores on lips or face (if prone to cold sores, please take medication 3 days in advance and 3 days after the treatment)
  • Any facial surgery within 3 months
  • Low immunity due to cold, flu, etc.
  • Injectable treatments such as neuromodulators or dermal fillers in the past 2 weeks
  • Accutane in the past 6 months
  • Active rosacea
  • Sunburn or deep tan.
